**In short:** WebIntacta's PrestaShop maintenance, done remotely for stores worldwide, costs €69/month, excluding VAT, with no long-term contract. It includes module updates with a backup first, a daily file integrity check with the connector, a test purchase every month, one hour of technical work and the cleanup if the store gets infected (from your third month on the plan). I do it myself, Jose Soriano: I work with PrestaShop every day and have passed the official PrestaShop course and exam.

I work with PrestaShop every day and I've passed the official course and exam. I know which modules cause trouble when you update them, where to look when the cart stops working and which overrides are best left alone.

## What the Online store plan includes

- Module and core updates with a backup first, tested on a copy beforehand when possible
- Daily file integrity checks with the connector: if anyone touches `classes/` or the checkout, I know
- A daily security scan and an alert if the store goes down
- A test purchase every month to check that payment works
- 1 hour of technical work a month and the monthly PDF report
- Cleanup included if it gets infected, from your third month on the plan

## How I do it

1. **Initial review.** I install the connector, take an inventory of modules and overrides and tell you what's pending.
2. **Catching up.** I update the urgent things first, with a backup, outside your busiest sales hours.
3. **Ongoing monitoring.** Integrity, scans and downtime, every day. Plus the monthly test purchase.

## PrestaShop support: what the monthly hour covers

The Online store plan includes one hour of technical work a month, on top of the updates and the monitoring. It's for the small things that always stay pending in a store:

- Setting up or adjusting a module (carriers, payments, invoicing, SEO)
- Fixing an error that appears after updating a module or the theme
- Small changes to `.tpl` templates, fixed texts or translations
- Reviewing a troublesome override or a conflict between two modules
- Back-office questions: specific prices, cart rules, order statuses

It doesn't cover new development, design changes, catalog imports or major version migrations: I quote those separately, at a fixed price. If a task won't fit in the hour, I tell you before I start. You send it as a ticket from [support](https://webintacta.com/soporte?lang=en&lang=en), and everything stays in writing.

## Maintaining PrestaShop 1.6, 1.7, 8 and 9: what changes with each version

| Version | Supported PHP | What it means for maintenance |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1.6 | Doesn't run on PHP 8 | No patches from the project. I maintain what can be maintained (modules, integrity, monitoring) and suggest how to migrate. |
| 1.7.8 | 7.1 to 7.4 (7.4 recommended) | A branch tied to PHP versions that are no longer supported. Modules kept up to date, and plan the move. |
| 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 | 7.2 to 8.1 (8.1 recommended) | Minor updates included. PHP 8.1 no longer gets security patches: that's the main reason to think about 9. |
| 9.0 and 9.1 | 8.1 to 8.4 (9.0) or to 8.5 (9.1) | The current branch. More modules and themes to adapt if you're coming from 1.7; the monthly maintenance is the same. |

PHP versions according to PrestaShop's official technical documentation (devdocs.prestashop-project.org), checked on October 13, 2026.

## Upgrading from PrestaShop 1.7 to 8 or 9

Within the same version (for example, from 8.1.x to the latest 8.1), security updates are part of the maintenance: I apply them with a backup first and test the cart. Jumping from 1.7 to 8, or from 8 to 9, is something else: PHP requirements, modules and themes change, and overrides usually need adapting. That's a separate project, with a fixed quote once I've seen the store.

What to check before the jump and in what order, in the [guide to upgrading PrestaShop](https://webintacta.com/en/guides/upgrade-prestashop). If you want to know which of your modules have published vulnerabilities, see [vulnerable PrestaShop modules](https://webintacta.com/en/guides/vulnerable-prestashop-modules).

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does PrestaShop store maintenance cost?

€69/month ($59/month outside the EU), excluding VAT, with no long-term contract. With the Priority add-on, +€25/month on top.

### Do you migrate PrestaShop 1.6 or 1.7 to 8 or 9?

A migration isn't part of the maintenance: it's a separate project I quote once I've seen the store. In the meantime, the maintenance keeps your current version as safe as it can be.

### What about paid modules or modules bought on PrestaShop Addons?

I update them with your license. If a module is no longer supported by its author and has published vulnerabilities, I suggest how to replace it.
