Both update with a backup first, keep a daily backup off your server, monitor the site and, if you get hacked, include the cleanup from the third month (one a year on the Business website plan). How I work

Step by step.

  1. STEP 01

    Starting scan

    I review the website before you sign up, whatever the CMS (WordPress, PrestaShop or another) and wherever it is hosted. If it is already infected, it gets cleaned first (separately).

  2. STEP 02

    Access and backups

    I install the connector or we agree on whatever access your hosting needs, and I set up the daily off-server backup and the downtime alert.

  3. STEP 03

    Month by month

    Updates with a backup first, monitoring, alerts and the monthly report. You reach me by ticket or chat.

What website maintenance costs on the market

To compare with real data: 2026 price guides put maintenance for a small business website at $50 to $500 a month (GoDaddy, April 2026) or $30 to $250 (WebsiteSetup, March 2026), and an online store at $300 a month or more. Those figures include hosting and the domain; my plans do not include hosting. They are market figures, not my prices:

What drives the price is not the size of the website, but whether updates are supervised, whether backups are stored off the server and whether cleanup is included. The ranges, the providers one by one and a checklist to compare quotes are in how much website maintenance costs in 2026.

What it does not include

  • Design, layout or new pages: this is maintenance, not development
  • Writing or uploading content and products
  • Major version migrations (PrestaShop 1.7 → 8, for example) or hosting moves: quoted separately
  • Licenses for paid plugins or modules (yours are used)

How much does website maintenance cost?

Here, €35/month for a business website and €69/month for an online store, excluding VAT. On the market you will find everything from very cheap plans that only run updates to agency services of several hundred dollars a month; what changes is what they include, and whether hosting is part of the price. I explain it in how much website maintenance costs.

What should website maintenance include?

Updates with a backup first, a daily backup stored off the server, security scans, downtime alerts, a monthly report and the cleanup if you get hacked (from the third month). On online stores, also daily file-integrity monitoring, a monthly test purchase and one hour of technical work.

Is there a minimum term?

No. You cancel whenever you like, effective at the end of the paid month. The included cleanup kicks in from the third month, so nobody signs up on the day of the hack and cancels the next.
